TIA Basic PLC

This first component of the SIMATIC TIA Portal PLC course teaches the basic knowledge of the design of automation systems, the configuration and parameterization of the hardware, handling with the STEP 7 Basis Software, and the fundamentals of programming. Learners also gain an overview of human-machine interfacing and PROFINET. Learners will reinforce their theoretical knowledge in numerous practical exercises on a TIA plant model. This consists of an S7-1500 automation system and a conveyor model. What learners learn about Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) will teach how to take a holistic view of plant and to understand the relationships between components. On completion of the course, learners will thus be able to diagnose simple hardware faults or replace modules, coordinate components optimally, carry out safe fault diagnostics, and thus reduce downtimes.

Objectives:

  • The learner will have a basic or fundamental knowledge of S7 PLC & HMI
  • The learner will know about the product specifications, range, hardware / constructional details, and features of the product
  • The learner will work with Step 7 PLC Programming Software
